Allergies
What is an Allergy?
An allergy is an inappropriate immune response to an exposure that causes illness when a person inhales, ingests or comes in contact with a substance their body believes is a threat.
When asked, many people describe an allergy as a runny nose, sinus congestion, hives or the anaphylactic response of restricted airways.
Most people have not recognized allergies as the cause of illness, autism, pain, ADD, ADHD, chronic fatigue and auto immune diseases.
Often allergies are misunderstood as psychosomatic disorders, and the suffering person is made to feel like he or she is imagining the symptoms.
Allergies are simply caused by the central nervous system perceiving a substance as a threat, thereby causing the body to react in a negative way to that item. If the central nervous system does not recognize a substance as a threat, that person will not react sensitively to it.
The following are nine categories of allergen’s as discussed in Dr. Devi S. Nambudripad’s book, “Say Goodbye to Illness”
- Inhalents: Contacted thru the nose, throat or bronchial tubes…such as perfumes, exhaust, chemicals, pollens, smoke, cooking smells, plants herbs, etc.
- Ingestants: Items brought to the mouth such as food and beverages.
- Contactants: Anything that we touch or touches the skin
- Injectants: Vaccinations, drugs, bites, stings
- Infectants: Bacterias, viruses, parasites
- Physical Agents: Heat, cold, wind, humidity, radiation, pressure, motion, sound, colors…
- Genetic Factors: Allergens and tendencies towards allergies that are passed down generationally
- Molds and Fungi: Can be inhaled, contacted, injected, or ingested
- Emotional Stressors
Untreated immune responses from allergies can cause numerous health problems!
For the last two or three months my, now 16 month old baby has walked, but only holding on to my hand. I told about how I wished he could walk on his own. She tested him and treated him for the fear of walking unassisted and after 5 hours he walked across the room and down the hall! An obvious effect of his treatment! What a blessing!Thank You !
What causes allergies?
Genetics
Allergies have a strong genetic component and can be passed down generationally, often presenting in different ways. Family members may be allergic to different substances or to the same substance but have different reactions.
Emotions
Allergies can be caused by emotions. Trauma or extreme stress may cause the central nervous system to misinterpret the emotional response as being caused by a food, chemical or otherwise harmless substance, and then trigger a reaction.
Environment
We live in a toxic world. The air we breathe, food we eat, buildings we live in, clothing we wear and chemicals we use on our bodies are just some of the toxins that we are exposed to. As our world becomes more toxic and our food more processed, allergic reactions continue to rise.
Medications and Vaccinations
Vaccinations and drug-related reactions are well-documented sources of allergic symptoms.
